AVENGERS ASSEMBLE

  1. I'm typing this as I listen, a commentary of sorts.

The sound was fine when I went to see it, must have been your screening, which is absolutely not surprising considering you probably saw it in Cineworld. However, I did see it in Cineworld which was awesome.

Bullshit about it not transcending genres, when we came out that's exactly what we said it did! And it was better than The Dark Knight if you ask me (and Rotten Tomatoes agrees with me).

    It was art, no question.

It is indeed very funny, incredibly so, haven't laughed out loud like that in a long time.

If you saw it in 3D (which you must of if you went to the first screening), no wonder emotion was lost. It was post-converted, the worst kind of 3D, which is pretty damn terrible.

There is not too many people, I could have done with more.

A Justice League film wouldn't work, especially seeing as Nolan's killing Batman.

Worst bit was the mid-credits scene, but I suppose that's just a set-up for Iron Man 3 anyway.

I went in thinking it would be amazing, and I left the film thinking it was better than amazing. Film of the year so far (beating The Cabin in the Woods and The Raid).

    1. I totally agree about it being the best of the year. It looked brilliant, had good action, very well written script and was a hell of a lot of fun.

My problem was more I didn't feel invested in the characters. I thought what happened was very interesting, I just didn't CARE for the characters. If say, Iron Man had died, I would have been like "oh..." and be surprised, but I wouldn't have actually been upset. It just seemed to lack that depth of feeling to me.
